We Are All Defeated

If at this juncture, we seek peace and still not find it: We are defeated. 

If at this juncture, we seek unity and still not find it: We are defeated. 

If at this juncture, we seek freedom and still not find it: We are defeated. 

While in school, we were told that the country is virtually divided into two which are the urban Areas and the rural Areas and they cited villages as the rural areas because they did not have social amenities while citing the cities as the urban areas because of the presence of social amenities. Now, we cannot even tell the difference between the two because even the urban areas look worse than the rural areas because the so-called social amenities suffer terrible structural damages because of the inferior materials used in setting them up! 

I am not here to blame anyone. I am here to say the truth but there are somethings that I have to point out. Defeat is the only thing incurred when success is not achieved. To say that we are defeated is just the least that I can do. Look around you and tell me how many things still function well. 

If at this time, you can't find employment in your own country, build skills and be able to enjoy what is good for the common man, you are defeated. In fact, if you find out that you are always telling lies and that you cannot tell simple truths while dealing with others, if you are shrewd in business and if you are always looking for somebody to quarrel with then just know that you are defeated. 

In my country, we can't boast of fast internet access, good road networks or even sound agricultural produces yet we are claiming to be giants. My friend, we are all defeated. Let it sink right into your mind that once the country is not moving on the right track in which we are sure of positive developments, once the country is not in the right shape in which you can benefit and once our government officials are not honest with us, then I make bold to say that we are actually defeated.
